Troop 230 |
|
In October of 2008, Troop 230 participated in the Denali Fall Camporee, which had an Olympic theme and it was a blast! We had lots of fun, got some major "freeze points", and won some medals. One of the highlights of the camp was the Sumo Wrestling contest, and every patrol had the opportunity to take up this Japanese sport. Our SPL, Chase, used his Japanese lessons from school to keep it fun and entertaining, and his cohort Jack P served as the primary referee for the event. We ate well on this campout, with most of the patrols opting for the trusted and true burgers, although Ian's patrol tackeled stuffed tortillas and they were a hit. But the grand prize for cooking has to go to the adult patrol this time---Brad cooked a whole turkey using a cardboard box and some aluminum foil, and topped it off with vegtables, mashed potatoes, and home backed pumpkin pie. Ummmm. It all came out fantastic!!!!!!!!! Check out the photos, and click on any one of them to see it full size. |
