MeetingInfo.gif (3427 bytes)   Troop 230 meets almost every Tuesday at 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Eagle River Lions  in Eagle River, Alaska.  Our meeting hall is located at the intersection of Eagle River Loop Road and Eagle River Road, and has 40 acres of parkland, adjacent to it.  It's a great place to meet.  All boys from 11-18 and their parents are invited to visit our meetings.   We encourage all parents with boys in the troop to participate in the troop as a committee member, assistant scoutmaster, or as a supportive parent.

We have a high level of activity and participation, with camping events at least once a month. See the Troop Calendar for a more complete listing. Our troop policy is to push the ideals of scouting as presented in the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto, and Scout Slogan.  These are our guiding principals.  We also have a number of scouts that are  active in advance scouting, and we try to have at least one major "high adventure" trip every summer.

Our goal is to build character, foster citizenship, and develop fitness, all while building leadership skills that will carry into adulthood.  We do this through an aggressive outdoor program that is exciting and fun.
